Цілі:

практична: узагальнити знання, уміння та навички учнів з вивченого матеріалу; вдосконалювати навички читання, аудіювання та говоріння;

освітня: розширювати ерудицію учнів; розширювати лінгвістичний кругозір учнів;

розвиваюча: розвивати логічне мислення, пам’ять, увагу та уяву учнів; розвивати інтелектуальні здібності учнів;

виховна: формувати позитивне ставлення до вивчення англійської мови; виховувати вміння працювати у групах; виховувати в учнів почуття відповідальності.

Форма уроку: урок-вікторина.

Обладнання: зірки, плакати, магнітофон, годинники, картки, малюнки.

І. Початок уроку

T: Today we will have the unusual lesson. And I am glad to welcome you at the show “Are you good at English?”

T: But before we start our show, let’s learn a small, but very funny poem.

T: Repeat after me:

One, one, one, little dogs run

Two, two, two, cats see you

Three, three, three, birds on the tree

Four, four, four, rats on the flour.

ІІ. Основна частина уроку

T: Let’s start our show. Here the three very strong teams are present: the first team, the second team and the third one.

T: The rules of our show are very simple. There will be several tasks and for each correct answer the team will get a star. At the end of our show we shall count the stars and find out which team is the most active and friendly. By the way, don’t scream out. The team that screams out will lose the stars.

T: Are you ready? Let’s begin our show.

 

Task 1 “The Phone Number”

T: I need 2 representatives from each team. The task for the first pupil is to say the phone number to your partner. And your partner has to write it down on the blackboard. The team will get two stars for the correct written phone number.

Task 2 “Find the opposites”

T: Look at the blackboard! Here you can see twelve opposite words, but they are mixed. Your task is to find the opposite word for each word from the first column. Do it in turns. The team will get one star for each pair of opposite words.

Task 3 “Sounds and animals”

T: Each team will listen to two sounds of different animals. Your task is to guess the animal and say your answer in the following way, for example, It is a mouse. The team will get one star for each correct answer.

T: And now let’s have a small pause and play the “Mime game”. I will name you the word and your task is to mime it. It may be an action or an animal.

Task 4 “Draw the time”

T: Look at the clocks. As you can see on some clocks the hands are missing and on the other ones the numbers are missing. The task for each team is to draw the hands or to write the numbers pointing the time that I will tell you. The team will get one star for each correct answer.

Task 5 “Say the correct answer”

T: Look at the blackboard! Here you can see a rectangle with the numbers. The task for each team is to say the number and give the correct answer. There may be different questions, riddles, sums, etc. hidden behind each number. The team will get one star for each correct answer. If one team gives the incorrect answer, the other team may give the correct answer and get one extra star.

Task 6 “Diamond poem”

T: Each team will get a set of cards with words and one sheet of paper of A4 size with the pattern of the diamond poem. Your task is from the given words to make a diamond poem and write it down on this sheet of paper. The team that will do the task first will get 3 stars, the second team – 2 stars and the last team – one star.
