My School and School activities

Цілі уроку:

Практична: Навчити учнів розповідати про своє шкільне оточення та діяльність на уроках і в позаурочний час; підсумувати знання учнів з даної теми.

Освітня: Розширювати світогляд учнів та поглиблювати знання про систему освіти України.

Розвиваюча: Розвивати пам’ять, уяву та увагу учнів.

Виховна: Виховувати в учнів інтерес до вивчення іноземної мови та бажання приймати участь в позашкільній діяльності.

Обладнання уроку: Презентація на інтерактивній дошці, роз даткові матеріали.

Схематичний план уроку

  1. Початок уроку. Організація класу. Бесіда з учнями. – 2 хв.
  2. Мовленнєва зарядка.                                             – 3 хв.
  3. Аудіювання тексту. – 15 хв.
  4. Активізація лексичного матеріалу в усному мовленні учнів.        – 10 хв.
  5. Контроль знань учнів.                                        – 10 хв.
  6. Пояснення домашнього завдання. – 2 хв.
  7. Підсумки уроку.                            – 3 хв.

Хід уроку

  1. Початок уроку. Організація класу. Бесіда з учнями.

Прийом: Бесіда вчителя з учнями.

Teacher: Good morning, dear friends! You are again at school, you came here yesterday, have come today, will come tomorrow and a great part of your life is connected with school. Today we`ll sum up everything we have been learning for nine lessons. We`ll revise the names of school rooms, school equipment, school clubs and extra-school activities.

  1. Мовленнєва зарядка.

Прийом: заповнення пропусків у реченні словами з активної лексики.

Teacher: Let`s revise some word-combinations from our active vocabulary. You will see the sentences with the gaps in them, try to find the necessary word or combination to fill in this gap.

  1. Аудіювання тексту

Прийом 1: прослуховування учнями інструкції до аудіювання тексту.

Teacher: Yesterday in the Internet I came across the letter from an American girl Sarah, in which she tells about her school and school life. I`d like to read it to you. Your task is to memorize the information concerning her school building and surrounding; form-mistress; favourite lesson and school newspaper

Прийом 2: активне прослуховування тексту

Hi, friends! I`m Sarah. Some of you asked me to tell about school life in America. Now I am going to do it with great pleasure. I study at a secondary specialized school in Boston as secondary education is compulsory in our country. School suggests good opportunity for studying and extracurricular activity. My school is old but it`s so nice and big. There is a big sports-ground to the left of it and there is a huge green lawn with beautiful trees and flowerbeds in front of it. Pupils like to spend their time there during the breaks.

I like going to school. It is interesting to acquire a good knowledge of different subjects and here you can also acquire good working habits. We`ve got a terrific form-mistress. She is a pretty young woman. She is very kind, clever and she always encourages her students to work harder. If we have any problems we may easily turn to her for a help or advice, she can always help us to cope with some difficulties. She teaches us to be responsible for our actions.  She teaches us French and wants us to achieve good results in learning it and to become successful in our future life.

Of course, her lessons are my favourite. They are always exciting and interesting. We practise a lot in reading, speaking, writing, sometimes we watch films or short programmes about France and the life of young people in that country.

We also have got our school newspaper in which we can read announcements as for the concert, parties, important school events and other interesting information.

Teacher: Now answer the questions in order to recollect the information.

What school does Sarah study at?

What can you say about school opportunities?

What is there near the school building?

Why does Sarah like going to school?

What can you say about Sarah`s form-mistress?

What does she teach students?

What are Sarah`s favourite lessons and what do students do there?

What about the school newspaper?

Прийом 4: робота в групах, відтворення тексту частинами з опорою на слова

Teacher: Very nice, it`s a good work. Now in groups you are going get ready to speak about Sarah`s school; form-mistress; favourite lesson and school newspaper with the help of given words. Be sure to use them while speaking.

(Pupils are divided into 3 groups and take the card)

1 group:

Середня спеціалізована школа, обов’язкова освіта, пропонувати гарні можливості для, спортивний майданчик, газон з деревами та клумбами, проводити час протягом перерв

2 group:

Набувати гарні знання та навички, дивовижний класний керівник, заохочувати учнів працювати старанніше, звертатися за порадою, впоратися з труднощами, бути відповідальними за свої вчинки, навчати французької, досягти високих результатів, стати успішними у житті

3 group:

Захоплюючі та цікаві, практикуватися у…, дивитися фільми та короткі передачі, шкільна газета, читати оголошення про…

         Прийом 5: пред’явлення повідомлень учнів

  1. Активізація лексичного матеріалу в усному мовленні

Прийом 1: спілкування клас – учень.

Teacher: Now imagine that you all are Americans and Kate (a girl from the group) came on a visiting tour in your school, you have an excellent opportunity to learn about school life in Ukraine. Ask her questions from the exercise 5 b, page 74 you were working with at home.

(Pupils ask K. questions)

         Прийом 2: монологічні повідомлення учнів

Teacher: Now speak on the questions dividing them in parts.

About:

  • Location of the school and it`s surrounding;
  • Your form-master (mistress);
  • Number of lessons and activities at the lessons;
  • Subjects you study, your favourite subject;
  • The importance of learning English.
  1. Контроль знань учнів.

Прийом 1: заповнення схеми.

Teacher: Now you are going to write a summing-up test. Complete the mind map using the information you`ve managed to learn and remember.

Прийом: активне слухання інструкцій вчителя та запис домашнього завдання в щоденники.

Прийом: оцінка учнями своїх результатів на уроці, слухання висновків вчителя

Teacher: Thank you for cooperation and the atmosphere of mutual understanding. I am sure now you can talk freely about your school and schools of Britain and America.
