The place I love the most”
The old proverb says, ‘The grass is always greener on the other side.’ And every person tends to believe that life in places different from ours is for some reasons better. When I was younger, I always wished to live in Disneyland. But when my parents finally decided to take me to Disneyland, I found myself missing my house after a few days and wanting to go back. After this, I realized that Disneyland was a good place to go for a few days but I could never live anywhere but in my native city.
There are lots of reasons why Dnipropetrovs’k is the place I love but I think that there are three important things that have caused me to come to this belief.
Firstly, the city of Dnipropetrovs’k is situated on the Dnipro River in the East-central part of Ukraine. Large and beautiful, it is one of the main cities of our country. The city is surprisingly green and lies along the wide and slow-moving Dnipro River. It has got a remarkable embankment (the longest one in Europe), beautiful boulevards and spacious parks. To add more, there are such areas here like downtown Most-City which has a city atmosphere and there are places that are unique and inimitable and finally, we can boast about the numerous parks and gardens. This also is important because no two areas in Dnipropetrovs’k are exactly the same. It is significant for me because this makes living here better than somewhere else.
Secondly, it is also the major centre of high-technology industries, education, machine-building, metallurgy and trade. The city is not only famous for its industry, but also for its green hills and glorious history. Being one of the largest cities of Ukraine, Dnipropetrovs’k is a leading industrial and commercial centre in this country. Its major industries include: food processing, metallurgy, manufacture of machinery, machine tools, rolling stock, chemicals, building materials, and textiles. The development of Ukrainian economy gave impulse to business activity of the city. There are a lot of new office centres, banks, trade exhibition centres and other commercial enterprises appearing in the city nowadays. So, I’m sure that after finishing school I’ll easily find my way in life here.
Thirdly, I might believe that Dnipropetrovs’k is the best place because I have been living here for my whole life. Му nearest and dearest people, nearly all my friends reside in my native city. Maybe I‘ll find something better for me , but now I’m sure that there is no place like my home.
All in all, I’d like to say that this dear to my heart place offers everything you need for a pleasant and comfortable life. Come and you’ll see. Whoever visits it or comes to live is amazed by its gorgeousness and its modernity, and wish to stay here forever. Once you visit it, you’ll remember it forever.
